Sandy Glassman
Work Description: Watercolor, Ink, Mixed Media
Biography: As a young person, I learned sewing and needlework and had a great interest in design, especially gothic architecture. I graduated from Old Dominion University and West Virginia University with degrees in elementary and special education. I taught special needs students until my retirement in 2011.
After my retirement, I wanted to learn new skills, so I took a watercolor class at The Art League of Ocean City. Since that first class, I have studied drawing with a local artist and taken classes in watercolor, acrylics, oil, and pastels from both local and nationally known artists. I have shown my work at The Art League of Ocean City and The Worcester County Arts Council. I was awarded an honorable mention for my painting “Four Bites.” I especially enjoy adding ink designs to my watercolor painting. I’m looking forward to learning and creating in the future.
